Ocean State Shifters

Common Ground, Safe Harbor, Tidal Heat and Fox Point share one world: shifters living hidden inside the human one, in Rhode Island. Four series, one state, one set of rules about what people are.

You never need one to understand another. Nothing here is homework. What the shared world buys you is that a person who matters in one series can walk through another one and still be the same person.

Common Ground

Omegaverse · novels · read in order.

More danger, higher stakes, and plots that build across volumes. Explicit, on the page, start to finish. Nothing fades out. This is the spine of the world, and it is the one to read in order — the books build on each other and they mean to.

Start with Slack Tide.

Safe Harbor

A love letter to mpreg readers. Skip it and you won't miss any Common Ground canon. Read it and you get more of Tenzin and Rio.

Homecoming is the only one so far. There will be more when someone else gets pregnant.

Tidal Heat

Character-driven PWP, if that's a phrase you know. If it isn't: short, explicit, and the sex is the point. It works because you've already spent a novel with these people.

Optional, same as Safe Harbor. Nothing in Common Ground depends on either. Latent Heat, Caleb and Rowan, is the first one.

Fox Point

A full novel series in the same world. Common Ground is a pack building a family. Fox Point is where the people who couldn't or wouldn't find one ended up.

A bar called Boom on the south side of Providence, regulars who are not upstanding citizens, and a found family anyway. The tone is noir. It is not grimdark.

The first novel is Cold Ledger. The second is Bad Debt.

What about the other two series?

Bad Little Falls is a different world entirely — a Downeast Maine town where everyone is a shifter and nobody is surprised by anything. Caldwell & Pike is a third, and isn't omegaverse at all.

Neither one touches this state.
